Medals Galore for Mohawks Ice Racing Club at the British Short Track Speed Skating Championships

Medals galore for Mohawks Ice Racing Club at the 22/23 British Short Track Speed Skating Championships that were held in Sheffield on January 7th & 8th 2023. Highlights included Mohawks regaining the club 5000m relay championship; Niall Treacy winning the Senior Mens overall championship title and Steve Humber winning the Masters Over 50s championship title.

We also had Ethan Treacy winning silver and 2nd placed overall in the Senior Mens championship; Charlotte Hayward winning silver and 2nd placed overall in the Senior Womens championship; Adam Hill Jnr also winning silver and 2nd placed overall in the Junior Boys championship.

Thanks to everyone involved. Coaches Tom Iveson & Jo Eley, Team Leader Mark McKenzie, Officials Paul Iveson, Jean Iveson, Frankie Humber, Olivia Humber and mums and dads who helped.

Tanisha Tilekar winning bronze and 3rd placed overall in the Junior Girls championships; and Adam Hill Snr also winning bronze and 3rd placed overall in the Masters Over 50s championship.

Ronan Hern raced really well in a heavily contested and close Junior E Boys competition and also Tarun Tilekar got some excellent results in an equally tough Junior C Boys competition.

We done to all Mohawks skaters, coaches, team leaders and officials for an excellent club performance at the championships.
